The body depends on water to survive, every cell and organ in the body needs water to function properly. An adult male body is made of 55 to 60 percent water. An adult female body is made of 50 to 55 percent water.

According to the book Nutritional Foundations and Clinical Applications. The age, gender, weight, body composition, and activity level can all affect the body water percentage.
The body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste, skin hydration, and to lubricate joints.
The body naturally loses water through everyday activities such as breathing, sweating, and urine. The last one can help you realize when you need to drink more water. If you don't urinate often might be a sign, especially if your urine is concentrated and has a dark yellow or orange color. This means your body is seeking for hydration. Not drinking enough water can cause you several health problems as well as drinking too much. If your urine has no color, looks like water. This means your body is over hydrated which causes low blood sodium "hyponatremia"
Light yellow urine indicates that your body water percentage is balanced.
When most people are suffering from dehydration, they will experience constipation, joint pain, digestive issues, skin problems, headaches, dizziness, lack of concentration, eye strain or vision problems, obesity, and many more symptoms.
The general amount of water your body needs as we already mentioned depends on your weight and your daily activities such as exercising, sweating, and so on. The key here is to listen to your body, Just be aware of the signs it sends you ( urine, dry skin, headaches...)
Doctors recommend two liters of water a day, equivalent eight glasses of water. The two liters can be Distributed over water, other fluids (juices, tea, soups...) and food (cucumber, carrots, celery, spinach, lettuce, grapefruit, watermelon, pineapple, tomato...)

A healthy way to start your morning, besides hydration it will wake your organs and your brain. Soak one spoon of chia seeds with a slice of lemon for an hour, then drink it. Better on an empty stomach.
Chia seeds are full of important nutrients. They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium. Omega-3 fatty acids help raise HDL cholesterol, the "good" cholesterol that protects against heart attack and stroke. Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. lemon juice protects the body from Immune system deficiencies.
